    Memory Type: DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-12800, DDR3 (non-ECC)
    Maximum Memory: 24GB
    Currently Installed Memory: 6GB
    Total Memory Slots: 6
    Available Memory Slots: 3

Basically, I want to update graphics card, RAM, and hard drive.

Was thinking Geforce GTX 570 or 580 - anyone know if it'll fit in place of my current Graphics card? Any difference in the 2 models?

Wanting some more RAM - maybe another 6GB-12GB. Not sure the best types of memory?

Also Hard drive - how on earth will I get another 1TB into my comp? Will i have to remove my current 500GB?

    Cheers lads cat

    Hello again,

    RE: Memory:

I believe the machine can handle:

    Up to 24GB Tri-Channel DDR3 @ 1333Mhz
    Up to 12GB Tri-Channel DDR3 @ 1600Mhz

I would personally go 12Gb ddr3 1600MHZ and get some with low timings. 1600mhz obviously faster frequency and you won't need more than 12GB.

If you can give me the motherboard make and model, I'll recommend a good set of ram that's compatible with the board.

    RE: Graphics:

The GTX260 uses an 8pin and a 6pin connector. So worth checking what connections the new card takes and also how much power it takes. The new card might take 2x 6pin connectors and could require more power. So worth checking this. As well as the space available in the case to accommodate the new card. These new cards seem to get bigger and bigger lol

I would personally go for either:

    1. PNY GTX570 1280MB GDDR5 Card - £266
    2. Zotac GTX 580 1536MB GDDR5 Card - £390

    RE: Hard Drive:

Either 1TB OR 2TB SATA II hard drive (7200RPM) I guess. You should have more bays available in the case so no need to just replace the current drive. Simply run it alongside it. The 1/2TB can just be used to store all data?
